It’s now been almost a month since Karen and I moved into our lovely home in Los Olivos and I wanted to share with you how happy we are here and how thankful we are with all the work and dedication you showed in making this possible.
Karen say’s it best when she says, “Laura rocks!”
So let me just add how much we appreciate your patience- the time you took to show us so many homes from condos to ranches to mansions- you never fatigued (even when we did!)- and by taking so much of your time to show us so many options you gave us the needed context to make our best choice. Through it all, we never felt pressured, always felt assured by you- “hang in there guys; we are going to find your house; we aren’t giving up…”.
I also want to acknowledge your skills and fiduciary commitment in negotiating on our behalf. When we were prepared to concede to the Buyer’s demands you encouraged us to stick to our price. How easy it would have been for an agent to take our yield as an opportunity to capture a quick close. Your knowledge and integrity saved us thousands of dollars. As an investment banker who provides sell side advisory services, I am in a unique position to know just how rare and special is your client loyalty. A Big Thanks!
Beyond your indefatigable spirit was an extraordinary attentiveness to our needs and concerns. And those needs and concerns reached so far beyond your scope as a real estate agent. You helped Karen negotiate the Santa Ynez Valley horse world; your helped me connect with the cycling community; you opened your home, hearth, family, and friends to us. Your graciousness and consistent kindness have meant so much to us. Now with the transaction complete you continue to help us navigate this new world. Pointing us to the fire wood guy, the electrician, the plumber, the vet… You are such a valuable resource to us.
And in the course of our four months in the Valley, we are happy to share that our positive impressions are shared again and again with the many fine people we have had the good fortune to meet in our new community. It is no surprise that you are well known and highly regarded. Just again last night I met a local contractor who works with your husband. He said it so well, “When Laura sells you a house, you not only get a new home. You get a new friend”.
